— Using vScan
Reading the scan results dashboard.
The dashboard is your daily command centre — security score, key stats, and a filterable table of everything running on your site.
Dashboard overview
The dashboard (vScan → Dashboard) is the main screen you will use day-to-day. It shows your current Security Score, key statistics, and the full list of scanned items with their vulnerability status.
Navigate to vScan → Dashboard in your WordPress admin to open it.
Security score
The large number at the top is your Security Score — a value from 0 to 100. It summarises your entire vulnerability posture in one figure. See Security score for details on how the score is calculated.
A colour band beneath the score shows the severity tier:
| Score | Tier |
|---|---|
| 80–100 | Good |
| 60–79 | Fair |
| 40–59 | Poor |
| 0–39 | Critical |
KPI cards
Below the score you will see four summary cards:
- Items inventoried — the total number of software components detected on your site.
- Vulnerable — items with at least one known CVE. This card turns red when non-zero.
- Secure — items with no known CVEs at the time of the last scan.
- CVEs found — the total number of distinct CVE records matched against your inventory.
Results table
The table lists every inventoried item. Each row shows:
- Component name and type (plugin, theme, core, PHP, server, extension)
- Installed version
- Status — Vulnerable (red), Secure (green), or Unknown (grey)
- CVE count — click to expand the row and see individual CVE IDs, CVSS scores, and descriptions
Filtering and search:
Use the filter chips above the table to switch between All, Vulnerable, and Secure. The search box lets you filter by component name, version, or CVE ID.
Running a scan
Click the Scan Now button in the top-right corner of the dashboard to trigger an immediate scan. The button is disabled while a scan is in progress.
After the scan completes, the score and table refresh automatically. See Scanning for information about automatic scheduled scans and scan history.
