What the vulnerability does
The Elementor Addons, Widgets and Enhancements – Stax plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 1.4.3. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the toggle_widget function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to enable or disable Elementor widgets via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Stax Addons for Elementor versions up to 1.4.3 contain a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability. An attacker can craft a malicious webpage that, when visited by a logged-in site administrator, performs unwanted actions on the site without the admin's knowledge or consent. The vulnerability requires the victim to visit the attacker's page while authenticated to the WordPress site.
