Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
The Shortcodes Ultimate WordPress plugin through version 5.12.6 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An authenticated user with low privileges can inject malicious JavaScript into shortcode parameters. When other users view pages containing the affected shortcode, the injected script executes in their browser, potentially allowing session hijacking or credential theft.
