Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
The Cryptocurrency Widgets plugin for WordPress contains a missing authorization check that allows unauthenticated attackers to trigger a denial-of-service condition. An attacker can make repeated requests to the vulnerable endpoint without authentication, consuming server resources and degrading site performance. The vulnerability affects versions up to 2.6.2. Site administrators should update to a version newer than 2.6.2 when available.
