What the vulnerability does
The Boostify Header Footer Builder for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.6 via the 'bhf' shortcode due to insufficient restrictions on which posts can be included. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to extract data from private or draft posts created via Elementor that they should not have access to.
Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Boostify Header Footer Builder for Elementor versions up to 1.3.6 contain an authorization flaw that allows authenticated users with low privileges to access sensitive information they should not be able to view. The vulnerability requires a valid user account but no special interaction. Site administrators should update to a version newer than 1.3.6 to prevent unauthorized data exposure.
