What the vulnerability does
The Medical Addon for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.2 via the 'namedical_elementor_template' shortcode due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to read the content of draft, pending, and private posts.
Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
The Medical Addon for Elementor through version 1.6.2 contains an authorization flaw that allows authenticated users to access sensitive information they should not be able to view. An attacker with a low-privilege account can read data intended for other users or administrators. The vulnerability requires valid login credentials but no additional user interaction.
