Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Global Notification Bar versions up to 1.0.1 contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows authenticated administrators to inject malicious scripts. An attacker with high-level admin privileges can craft a notification containing JavaScript code that executes in other users' browsers when they view the notification bar. The vulnerability requires user interaction—the victim must view the affected page—and can affect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the site.
