Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Simple Post Notes versions up to 1.7.7 contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An authenticated user with high privileges can inject malicious scripts into post notes that execute in the browsers of other users viewing those notes. The vulnerability requires user interaction—a victim must view the affected note—and impacts confidentiality, integrity, and availability within the scope of the affected component.
