What the vulnerability does
The MetForm – Contact Form, Survey, Quiz, & Custom Form Builder for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in versions up to, and including, 3.8.8 via the 'handle_file' function. This can allow unauthenticated attackers to extract sensitive data, such as Personally Identifiable Information, from files uploaded by users.
Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
MetForm versions up to 3.8.8 expose sensitive information that can be accessed over the network without authentication. An attacker can retrieve data from the plugin without needing to log in or interact with a user. This affects all installations of the affected versions. Update to a version newer than 3.8.8 to resolve the issue.
