Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Linear versions up to 2.8.0 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows an authenticated user to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability requires user interaction and affects the integrity and confidentiality of the application. An attacker with low privileges can craft a malicious request that, when visited by another user, executes arbitrary JavaScript in their browser.
What an attacker can do
Inject and execute malicious JavaScript in other users' browsers to steal session tokens, modify page content, or redirect users.
Potential impact on your site
Users' accounts and data are at risk if they visit attacker-crafted links while logged in; session hijacking and credential theft are possible.
Conditions required to exploit
