What the vulnerability does

01Description

The DocoDoco Store Locator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the zip upload functionality in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.1. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Editor-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms

02Summary

DocoDoco Store Locator versions 1.0.1 and earlier contain an unrestricted file upload vulnerability. An authenticated administrator can upload arbitrary files to the server without validation. This allows an attacker with high-level access to execute malicious code, read sensitive data, or modify site content. Update to a version newer than 1.0.1 immediately.
