Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Better User Shortcodes versions 1.0 and earlier contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An attacker can inject malicious scripts into shortcode parameters that execute in a victim's browser when they view the affected page. The vulnerability requires user interaction—the victim must visit a page containing the malicious shortcode. This can lead to session hijacking, credential theft, or defacement.
