Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Simple Shortcode Buttons versions 1.3.2 and earlier contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An attacker can inject malicious scripts into shortcode parameters that execute in the browsers of site visitors. The vulnerability requires user interaction—a victim must visit a page containing the malicious shortcode. This can lead to session hijacking, credential theft, or malware distribution.
