Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Awesome Hooks versions 1.0.1 and earlier contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows attackers to inject malicious scripts into web pages. The vulnerability requires user interaction—typically clicking a malicious link—and can affect other users viewing the compromised page. An attacker with no authentication can exploit this to steal session cookies, redirect users, or deface content.
