Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Links in Captions versions 1.2 and earlier contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability. An authenticated user with low privileges can inject malicious scripts into captions. When another user views the affected content, the script executes in their browser, potentially allowing the attacker to steal session data or perform actions on their behalf. User interaction is required—the victim must view the page containing the malicious caption.
