Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
JetTabs versions 2.2.7 and earlier contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An authenticated user with low privileges can inject malicious scripts into tab content. When other users view the affected tabs, the scripts execute in their browsers, potentially allowing the attacker to steal session data or perform actions on their behalf. The vulnerability requires user interaction to trigger.
What an attacker can do
Inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view affected tabs, stealing their session data or performing actions as them.
Potential impact on your site
Users' accounts and data are at risk if they view tabs created by attackers. Site reputation and user trust may be damaged.
Conditions required to exploit
