Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
JobBank versions 1.2.2 and earlier contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows attackers to inject malicious scripts into web pages. An attacker can craft a malicious link that, when visited by a site user, executes arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser. This can lead to session hijacking, credential theft, or defacement. The vulnerability affects all users of the plugin.
What an attacker can do
Inject and execute malicious JavaScript in a user's browser to steal session cookies, credentials, or deface the site.
Potential impact on your site
Site visitors can be compromised; attackers may steal admin sessions, user data, or modify site content without direct access to your server.
Conditions required to exploit
An attacker must trick a site user into clicking a malicious link or visiting a crafted page (user interaction required).
