What the vulnerability does
The Affiliate Plus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.2. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the 'affiplus_settings' page. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to perform an unauthorized action granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Affiliate Plus versions 1.3.2 and earlier are vulnerable to cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. An attacker can craft a malicious webpage that, when visited by a logged-in site administrator, performs unwanted actions on the site without the admin's knowledge or consent. The attacker needs the admin to visit a malicious link, and the impact is limited to low-level data changes.
