What the vulnerability does
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in NooTheme Visionary Core noo-visionary-core allows Object Injection. This issue affects Visionary Core: from n/a through <= 1.4.9.
Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Visionary Core versions up to 1.4.9 contain a deserialization vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code on the site. The vulnerability exists because the product deserializes untrusted data without proper validation. An attacker with low-level access can craft malicious serialized objects to achieve remote code execution with full site privileges.
What an attacker can do
Run their own code on the site with full administrative privileges.
Potential impact on your site
Complete site compromise: attackers can modify content, steal data, create backdoors, or take the site offline.
Conditions required to exploit
Attacker must have a low-level user account (e.g., subscriber or contributor role).
