Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
WP Simple HTML Sitemap versions 3.8 and earlier contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An authenticated administrator can inject malicious scripts that execute in other users' browsers when they view the sitemap. The vulnerability requires the attacker to have admin privileges and the victim to visit an affected page. This can lead to unauthorized actions or data theft within the WordPress site.
