What the vulnerability does
The Fluent Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to incorrect authorization via the 'subscription_id' parameter in versions up to, and including, 6.2.1. This is due to insufficient ownership authorization checks in the payment cancellation AJAX flow. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to submit cancellation requests for other users' subscriptions.
Explanation of Vulnerability in Simple Terms
Fluent Forms contains an authorization flaw that allows authenticated users with low privileges to modify or delete data they should not have access to. The vulnerability affects all versions up to 6.2.1. An attacker with a basic user account can bypass permission checks to alter form submissions, settings, or other protected resources. Site administrators should update to a version newer than 6.2.1 immediately.
